Canal operations ten-day and monthly reports, December 1897-November 1906; July 1919-December 1921.

Ten-day and monthly reports on canal operations were prepared by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Ten-day reports include date, location (e.g., western or eastern section; canal mile point; culvert, bridge, dame, aqueduct), contractor's name, list of employees, time expended, labor costs and description of work accomplished. Monthly reports include project expenses, balance not expended, amount appropriated, outstanding liabilities, description of work accomplished and description of probable operations for following month. Occasionally included are contract listings, listings of bills submitted and related correspondence. Also included is War Department annual report (1898).
